Tips to boost your career as a fresher / What actually happens when you complete your UG/PG degree?

Will a graduate receive an offer at MNC immediately as a fresher or after completing his/her degree?

The answer to this question falls on being tentative as a degree never guarantees you the job in this timeline. It hugely depends on the college you study, the staff you meet, the subjects you skip, the exams you cheat, and the marks you lose. According to reports from the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE), around 9 million students graduate annually from higher education institutions in India(only). This includes undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma holders. Being one of them and getting a high-paying job in the software field is actually a miracle. If you are putting in enough handwork by studying day and night even in your dreams, then there is a chance that you might win the lucky draw and get the win but if you don't even know what you are doing in your grad days then obviously you are just a lost star in the cosmos.

Most of the students are engaged in learning courses from various platforms (which can be free or paid) they have an opportunity to get a special entry in the queue but that's just the entry ticket for the queue, if you have done an internship it helps you to skip the line and move forward a little and that's it. Nothing guarantees you a job, especially in this recession period. Numerous experienced people in the field don't have a job right now and that makes you just a fish in the sea. Here are some tips I've learned in the journey and want to share with you. If you are a student, you might find this helpful. If you are a fresher, you can also concentrate on these but let the lord have mercy on you and grant you luck.

Tips to get a job as a fresher:
  • Choose your field. If you want to be in the software field, kindly decide what you are going to be in your first year of your college program. Trust me this will be a life-saving tip, if you choose what you are going to be in your first year, then attend all the workshops, seminars, internships, and courses related to that field and build you as you will have more than enough time during those days. Your field may be development, testing, engineering, automation, AI, UI/UX, etc.
  • Do your research. Reach the professionals and gather information about the field and what is needed. It may be your abroad uncle or your people who have knowledge about it. For me, it's always been my bruh(versha).
  • Keep your resume straight. This doesn't mean you have to be a non-supporter of a community. If you want to become a developer, then do your courses and internships related to that role. This helps to add value to your resume. People just do courses in various fields such as Python, Java, ML, and whatnot. Your college may say to do as many courses as you can but I assure you that is not gonna help you.
  • Keep your basics strong. This includes your aptitude skills and basic program skills. These skills are mandatory for anyone in the field. Build your communication strong and firm. Work on your English. There is never a stop for your foundation. Like every other monument in the world, you are going to be strong only if your foundations are strong.
  • Go for it. If you are still looking for tips, then you might not be in the market. Just go and attend interviews, tests, and whatnot, and you will gain experience on how to crack your next one. Believe it or not, if you do not get more interview experience, you will not have an overview of corporate life before entering into it(personal advice).
There's not much to say as an observant. It is you who have to make your decisions precisely and timely. Always keep a heads-up on the happenings of the field and be prepared. Feel free to write to me in the comments to share your opinions and views. After all, we humans are just a speck of cosmic dust in this universe.
